QUEEN KARLING was prominent from the start, gained the lead on the inside when COURTS MAUDE went wide, was headed between calls in the final furlong, but was gradually drawing away near the end. TREE TOWN saved ground while a sharp factor, went into the lead briefly midway of the closing furlong and tired badly near the end. BABY BLUE worked her way up on the rail and closed with a belated rush. BELETINO had no mishap. COURTS MAUDE, while holding the lead, ran out coming out of the turn. TIRED EYES had no excuse. PILATE was under restraint while on the rail and, on even terms for the lead, drew away when roused to win in hand. NEVER STOP, slow to begin, went up on the rail with a rush to be prominent, finished gamely, but was no match for the winner. BOBS ACE, a sharp factor on the outside, threatened boldly in the stretch and weakened. DOMINION was well placed between horses until midway of the stretch and gave way. The latter, eased back on the rail when outrun for the lead, took command when calledVupon and just missed. DONNA L. was well placed between horses and-had no excuse.
