Sire of Many Stake Winners LEXINGTON, Ky., June 10.— C. V. Whitneys young stallion, Sky Raider, who died at Creek View Farm early this week of a heart attack, sired the stakes winners Bas-togne, Basket Number, Faucon, Fancy Flyer and many winners. Sky Raider, son of Man o War and Top Flight, was foaled at C. V. Whitney farm on the day of the Kentucky Derby, running in 1938. At the races Sky Raider was beaten in only one of his three starts at three, the only year that he raced. In that race, his first, he was beaten a nose. Sky Raider was leased from C. V. Whitney by Tollie Young for the stud.
