Mrs. Sloane Sees Dixie PIMLICO, Baltimore, Md., May 5. — Among those on hand for the fifty-third running of the Dixie was Mrs. Dodge Sloane, owner of the Brookmeade Stable, and Preston M. Burch, trainer of the thoroughbreds which represent that sportswoman. The Brookmeade establishment, last years leading money-winning stable, was represented in the Dixie Handicap by Why Not Now.
