Maine Seeks Night Turf Ban AUGUSTA, Maine, May 5.— If Scarborough Downs, Maines only running horse track, operates this year, it may have to revert to daytime programs. This possibility loomed when the Maine Senate today reconsidered its action of yesterday and, by a vote of 17 to 15, approved a bill that would limit the runners to daylight programs. The House previously approved this. Scarborough Downs switched to night racing last year at its inaugural meeting when it reportedly lost money on daytime sport.
