BON LYNN saved ground while outrun to the stretch, was sent to the outside for the drive and, closing fast under punishment, disposed, of GAY LIBERTY in the last strides. GAY LIBERTY went to the front early, held a clear lead entering the stretch and finished willingly, but could not hold the winner. MYRMIDON lacked early speed, was in close quarters during the last sixteenth and could not better his position. TRI0GRAPH held on well in a sharp effort and had no mishap. RINGADOR could not keep up after showing early speed. PIP PIP broke fast, but tired after racing well to the stretch. BOLD ARROW was never dangerous. Scratched— 29973 Double Gift, 105. DIXVILLE, away fast, quickly established a long lead and, ridden out-during the stretch run, held SHAG TAILS safe. The latter, saving ground but racing greenly, finished well when set down, through the stretch and could not get to the winner, probably needing his race. SANDTOP was outrun. NITRO FIRE, away fast, was taken in hand immediately after the start, saved ground to the stretch and, responding to punishment during the drive, wore down BLUE BADGE in: the last strides. BLUE BADGE, closely attended by SOME TOWN for three-eighths mile, established a long lead before reaching the stretch, continued gamely under urging, but could not withstand the winner, although easily best of the others. D0RIGEN, away alertly, was moving up near the half-mile pole when bothered by SOME TOWN, then could not threaten the leaders when clear. SOME TOWN raced with BLUE BADGE for three-eighths, came over sharply on DORIGEN nearing the upper turn, then tired. M CORK was far back throughout NONPAREIL showed nothing. DREAM COMFORT, in hand and saving ground to the last quarter mile, went to the front entering the stretch and held on gamely thereafter to withstand FREEDOM TRAIN. The latter, outrun to the upper turn, lost ground while moving up at the stretch turn, was forced .wide during the drive by CLEANED, then was sent to the inside in the last sixteenth, but could not reach the top one. CLEANED, reserved to the stretch, drifted out during the drive and tired nearing the stretch. ROYTIG assumed command at the stretch turn, but failed to stay when set down in the drive. EASY QUERO went to the front at once, made the pace for five-eighths mile while engaging COMMITMENT, then gave way. COMMITMENT quit after racing with EASY QUERO for a half mile.
