Thirty-Six Harness Horses Die BUFFALO, N. Y., June 8. — Thirty-six harness horses, valued at more than 00,000, were burned to death last night in a fire that destroyed five barns in the stable Tea at the Buffalo Raceway. Firemen from 10 communities near the track battled under trying conditions. Frightened horses, driven out of the barns, raced loose throughout the area. Many of the patrons on hand for the card last evening crowded in toward the barns to watch the fire.
