Lindy Elected Vice-President Of Michigan HBPA Division DETROIT, Mich., June 8. — Harry W. Lindy, Motor City chiropodist and thoroughbred owner, was elected vice-president of the Michigan division of the Horsemens Benevolent and Protective Association in •the annual election held yesterday. Lindy polled 161 votes against the 95 for Walter Coleman, prominent turfman, his opponent. Committeemen for the local section of the HBPA named in the 1951 election are Mark Leach, Raymond Grundy, Thomas Graham, Henry Forrest, Henry Johnston, George White, Adelard Lamoureux, Charles White, Charles Kranz, and Burt Fields. The polling yesterday climaxed an unusually torrid campaign, the slate, headed by Lindy, beating a group of professional turfmen backing Coleman in the election.
