AIR TARGET moved up fast on the inside after the beginning, raced BLABBER MOUTH into defeat, then gave way momentarily to PROMISE, came again under punishment and disposed of the latter during the final sixteenth. PROMISE, never far back, reached the lead when settled for the drive, but could not withstand the winner. WINABET lacked early speed, but finished fast. FENELANE held on well and had no mishap. BLABBER MOUTH tired after engaging AIR TARGET to the stretch, WESTERN FRONT lacked early speed. BUMTYBUMP was outrun. MISS TEXAS failed to stay after beginning fast. PSYCHIC LAD went to the front ! at once, established a clear lead before reaching the stretch, but was ridden out to retain his advantage to the finish. BANNER BOY, away slowly, moved up steadily after his tardy start, finished willingly under urging, but could not get to the winner, although easily best of the others. THIRD OVAL dropped back after showing early speed and raced evenly without mishap. MINNESINGER, in close quarters leaving the upper turn, could not threaten the leaders when clear. FINAL EDITION was outrun. WHISP .raced wide. FIVE FIFTEEN quit after displaying early foot. AMOROUS bore out badly during the stretch run. BENDANEAR, rank at the post, showed nothing in the running. JUMPY JOHN, never far back, assumed command when ready and drew out to win with speed in reserve. MONFALON saved ground throughout, could not get to the winner, but was not under strong pressure to beat the others. WAR HAL, forced wide at the stretch turn by MISS MENIFEE, could not threaten the leaders when straight for the drive. WINSTAY was husled into command before going a quarter mile, made the pace to the stretch, then gave way. BIG DANCE was outrun. MISS MENIFEE had early speed, then drifted out during the last three-eighths mile. BLOB JR. was never prominent. BRASSY LIE gave a dull effort and had no excuse. ROOTIN TOOTIN showed nothing. CHOW LINE, outrun to the stretch, finished well under punishment, but was unable to seriously threaten the winner. LITTLE DANNY, a sharp factor from the start, faltered after displaying early speed. BONA ETERNAL raced wide through the stretch. TEDDY CHICK tired after racing forwarly placed until inside the stretch. GOLDEN EARRING could not keep up after starting fast. DONKE SERENADE raced evenly in a good effort and had no excuse. DIXIE FLYER failed to rally when set down through the stretch. COUNTESS MOLLY began slowly and was never prominent.
