Monmouth Horse Colony Increased to 292 Head nQCEANPORT, "N*. J., June 8.— Monmouth Parks equine colony has grown to 292 Jhead, with the June 16 opening of the summer racing season rapidly drawing near. Approximately 1,000 other horses will reach the surfside track before the getaway bugle, the largest backstretch population in the recent history of the local sport. Latest to reach Monmouth Park included Tommy Bohham with 15 for the Savoy Stable, led by Blue Speed, Top Admiral and a likely two-year-old, Fred R.; L. T. Ruff with 13 for T. P. Morgan, of which Thwart and Crown Me are "the best; Tom Barry with five, led by the stakes eligible Pensava; Eddie Kelly with Kinsman and eight others; Tommy J. Tayflt with 10 for the Jay-Cee Farm, one of the most progressive among the new breeding establish- ments in New Jersey; A. F. East with a public string for Mrs. Alfred "Roberts; Townsend B. Martin, Irene Martin and other patrons and Royal Roberts, whose 20 charges are owned by Mrs. W. W. Vaughan of. nearby Red Bank. All are homebreds, the best known being Briar "Vvjbite, Lucky Ned and Riar Black.
