Galbreath Purchases 1,160-Ace Tract West of Columbus, Ohio COLUMBUS, Ohio, June 8. — John W. Galbreath, master of Darby Dan Farm and the president of the Pittsburgh Pirates baseball club, has purchased a 1160-acre tract west of here from the estate of the late Ohio Supreme Court Judge Edward C. Turner as the site for a multi-million dollar industrial, commercial and housing development. The tract included a 350-acre site later sold to the Westinghouse Electric Corp.. for a 0-million, half-mile long plant. Tax stamps attached to the deed indicated Galbreath paid approximately ,400,000 for the tract.
