Waterford Park to Install 21 Daily Double Machines CHESTER, W. Va., May 21.— Twenty-one automatic Daily Double machines are being installed at Waterford Park for the 40-day meeting, opening June 1. Introduction of the machines at the local oval will speed up this form of wagering and will guard as much as possible against patrons getting "shut out" at the windows. Fourteen such booths, of the classification, and one 0 "double" window, have been set up in the grandstand while facilities for clubhouse fans comprises five different windows and one 0 denomination. Starter Harold Holland is the first racing official to put in an appearance. He arrived yesterday from his home in Charles Town, West Virginia, and revealed that schooling from the gate will start tomorrow. Eight races are to be presented daily with exception of Wednesdays and Saturdays, when nine contests are to be decided.
