Commission Rulings Reported to Daily Racing Form LOS ANGELES, Calif., May 21.— At regular and executive meetings of the California Horse Racing board May 18 the following orders were issued and/or made: 1. Willard Vance Owens owner : suspended, Santa Anita board of stewards, March S, 1953. Suspension continued. 2. Larry J. Rose applicant for trainers license : Board authorized issuance of a trainers license. S. Admiral Anderson groom : suspended by Santa Anita stewards on. February 10, 1953 for touting. License revoked and respondent denied privileges of all race track enclosures in the state of California. 4. Alvin Buckelew applicant for exercise boys license : board took no action on application until such time as respondent appears before the board. 5. George Leeds applicant for trainers license : No action taken on application pending appearance of respondent before the board. 6. James William White applicant for exercise boys license : issuance of 1953 exercise boys license authorized. 7. Tony R. Damiano applicant for owners-trainers licenses : no action taken on applications for owners and trainers credentials. 8. Michael Rizzo trainer : board ratified continuance of stipulation dated March 20, 1953. 9. Alfred Maynard applicant for grooms license : no action taken. 10. Hollywood Turf club: The board granted Hollywood Parks request for change of dates as follows: meeting to commence May 16th and run through July 23d, for a total of 50 days of racing. 11. Del Mar Turf club: The board approved the change of dates for the Del Mar Turf club as follows: July 25th through September 10th, 1953 for 41 days of racing. 12. The board received an application from the Desert Turf club, Palm Springs, California, covering quarter horse racing. PIMLICO, Baltimore, Md., May 21— Lay ton Risley has been granted a 97-day extension of his apprenticeship by the Maryland Racing Commission. The Camden, N. J., lad was injured in a spill at Laurel last October and did not resume riding until late in the New Orleans meeting. Risley will leave tonight for Chicago, where he will ride for Wilbur Borton, Jr.
