Set Irving S. Florsheim Dispersal for June 24 All Racing and Breeding Stock To Be Sold at His Red Top Farm HAWTHORNE. Cicero, 111., May 21.— Humphrey S. Finney, vice-president and general manager of Fasig-Tipton Company of New York, dropped in at Hawthorne from Midway Airport today and announced the forthcoming dispersal sale of the Irving S. Florsheim horses on the night of June 24. Florsheim is retiring from racing and breeding because of ill health. The sale will be held at his Red Top Farm at Lib-ertyville. north of Chicago, and about 20 minutes by automobile from Arlington Park, where racing will be in progress on June 24, which is the date of the Artful Stakes at the north side track. In the event of bad weather, the sale will be held in the big barn at Red Top Farm; otherwise it will be held out of doors. Florsheim has raced for several years under the name of Red Top Farm, with Dave Hum as trainer. He has instructed Fasig-Tipton not only to sell all the horses at public auction, but also all stable equipment. Hum has nine horses, including the stakes winner. Red Charger, and Stop Gap, in training. He will continue to race the horses until the time of the sale. Other horses to be sold include the stallion, Preoccupy, stakes-winning brother to Occupation and Occupy, and six broodmares. Three of the mares have foals by Preoccupy at foot and all have been bred back to that sire. Also to be sold are four yearlings by Preoccupy. Finney will announce the sale, with George Swinebroad, of Lexington, Ky., as auctioneer.
