Golden Reaper Scores Under Pressure Ride by Pinkstaff BEULAH PARK, Grove City, Ohio. May 21. — Donald Pinkstaff rode his second winner of the meeting here in the first race of the afternoon when he drove Golden Reaper to a hard-earned nose decision over Proud Foot in a thrilling contest. Golden Reaper was under constant pressure every step of the six furlongs and Pinkstaff never relaxed for a moment on the gelding. The winner ran the six panels in 1:14 over the first fast track in a few days and paid 6.40. Victory Play, 13 years of age, won the second event of the afternoon, running the same distance in 1:12%, while winning by three lengths, to pay 1.60. The daughter of Head Play — Mid Victorian has been a victor at least once in each of her racing years. The combination of Golden Reaper and Victory Play was worth 0.80 to the Daily Double players.
