AMATI was restrained slightly while racing close to the pace and, slipping through on the inside after entering the stretch, took a short lead in the final sixteenth, but was doing his best to hold MLLE. LORETTE. The latter, never far from the pace, was required to go wide in the stretch, but finished with good courage. RED SPEED had good early speed and raced TUONINE into defeat, then went fairly well to the end. PICK AND PLAY was going steadily at the end. TUONINE tired after going a half mile. Overweight— Mile. ELEVENPOINT cut to the inside early and, retaining a forward position, continued to save ground in the stretch and bested FOXY WAGER in a drive. FOXY WAGER was on the outside of a couple of horses coming to the stretch turn and was forced rather wide, but went gamely to the end. ISOMUR closed with good courage and was pressing the first two. EXPERIMENTAL moved up on the inside nearing the stretch turn, but was unable to find an opening in the stretch or might have been dangerous. ECHO ROCK was badly outrun early, but was going fairly well at the end. CAN LOCATE tired in the stretch. SKY MAID was through early. Overweight— Isomur, 1 pound; Experimental, 2; Sky Maid, 1. OFF AT 5:43 CENTRAL DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good from stall gate. Won ridden out; second and third driving. REPARTEE was well placed on the outside in the run down the backstretch, then moved on the outside of DIAMOND MORAN in the stretch to catch him and draw out under pressure near the end. The latter was close to the pace from the start and took a short lead leaving the backstretch, then went well to the end. JAY EDWARD had a fair amount of speed and held on well in the final drive. HIS IMAGE closed a gap. MR. M. tired. FRISK failed to be a serious factor. Scratched— 86665 Ginnas War, 112. Attendance, 12,724; Total Mutuel Pool, 73,390.
