Alter Cumberland Racing Dates to June23-July 3 BALTIMORE, Md., May 25, — Racing dates for the 10-day Cumberland, Md., meeting have been altered by the Maryland Racing Commission. The mountain track, which was previously scheduled to operate in early August, has now been alloted days from June 23 to July 3 in order to avoid a conflict with Charles Town and Wheeling, in West Virginia. The new dates were approved but were not officially announced until the commission had been assured that the American Tote So. could have equipment at Cumberland for those dates. The Maryland half-mile schedule follows: Cumberland — June 23 to July 3. Hagerstown — August 18 to August 28. Timonium — September 1 to September 11. Marlboro — September 15 to September 25. Bel Air— September 29 to October 9.
