Licata Says Blacktype Tried To Pull Himselp Up Twice ASCOT PARK, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, May 25. — Tony Licata who was astride Lily Ann Stables Blacktype, who set a track record in winning the Victory Plate here last Saturday, reported that his mount did try to pull himself up twice during the running. Licata flicked the horse across the ears with his whip to keep him about his business. Blacktype now looms as the prohibitive favorite in Saturdays renewal of the 4,-000 Ascot Gold Cup. Last season in both the Victory Plate and the Gold Cup, Blacktype had a clear lead when he propped and lost all chances.
