Gushen Extends National HBPA Bodys Thanks for Relief Card DETROIT RACE COURSE, Livonia, Mich., May 25.— The following telegram was received here today by Dr. Harry W. Lindy, local HBPA head, from Irving Gushen, national president of the turfmens organization: "Please extend sincerest gratitude of the national office of the HBPA to the Michigan Racing Commission and track management for making this great benevolent day possible in order to alleviate the suffering of those who lost their all, in the unfortunate fire. All who participate in this great day can point with pride to their accomplishment and I would like to extend my own personal thanks to you and your committee for your splendid efforts in behalf of our membership in your area. This day will long be remembered by those having the best interests at heart. Again — Heartiest congratulations on a job exeed-ingly well done and best wishes for the future/
