BETWEEN raced evenly to the stretch, closed strongly under punishment but could not reach the top one. WOLVERINE Hually worked way forward and finished willingly in a good effort. FLEET PATH was outrun and had no hap. JA JA raced with CIDERMAN for three-eighths mile, then weakened. BILLS ADMIRAL was never .gerous. BILLUP had no excuse. GRAVEL BIN raced greenly. SU-JAY, never far back, was forced wide entering the stretch by MISS JAY JAY, responded readily when straightened for. the drive and outgamed the latter during the last sixteenth. MISS JAY JAY took command at once, set the pace to the stretch, then drifted to the outside and was unable to hold the winner, although much the -best of the others. NOWADAY GIRL moved up boldly entering the stretch, but was unable to reach the top pair when set down in the drive.- AU SABLE began poorly. MISS BOXER had early speed, but bore to the outside during the stretch run. CARACAS KID was never dangerous. BECKYS PRIDE was through early. FOREVER BON could not keep up after beginning alertly. BUMBASHOOT, never far back, responded to strong handling during the stretch run and was up in the last strides to dispose of BERYLDON. The latter, forwardly placed immediately after the start, took command nearing the stretch, settled for the drive with a short lead, but could not withstand the winner and just missed. JIMINY CRICKET gave a good effort and had no mishap. BOB F began fast, set the pace for a half mile while engaging BERYLDON, then weakened. BENJOMIKE was outrun. JACKIES IDOL tired. SQUIRE K. could not keep up. THE FLIER raced wide. GRAND EGYPTIAN sulked after the break and was not persevered with when hopelessly beaten during the final guarter mile.
