LA R0NDE, in rather tight quarters nearing the far lu w? s req.uire1d t0 be steadied when taken to the outside in the stretch, and closing with good courage, forged the front in the final sixteenth and was going away at the end. FULVOUS was a good contender while racing ,the outside and topped ROMAN WARBLER after entering the stretch, but lacked the necessary strength • resist the winner. SHERRY L. was never too far away and held on gamely. ROMAN WARBLER tired in the retch. BETSY T turned in a creditable race. BLOOM was badly outrun in a dull effort. MIMI MINE was closest to SET SHOT while the er was making the pace, and passing him in the stretch, opened up a good lead but was being ridden out the end. RUHE dropped out of it at once and was far out of it to the stretch, then was unable to find opening oh the inside while moving and was steered to the outside in the last sixteenth. He finished rapidly ; might have won in a few more strides. VIXEN FIXIT was always a good contender. SET SHOT had some-ig. removed making the pace and weakened. The others were unable to keep up. BLUE TEAL was hustled to contentnon early and, /earing down WRACK PLAY after entering the stretch, assumed a short advantage, but was immediately •llenged by MYSTIC CHIEF and was all out to hold the latter. MYSTIC CHIEF became a strong contender .Uhe stretch after having been outrun early and was pressing the winner at the end. WRACK PLAY was sent ?£«2j/JHgJead but had- little left for the stretch drive. PRINCE ADARIS weakened in the stretch. BRECON ACONS bore out badly entering the backstretch.
