Eight Sprinters Contest Top Audubon Park Event Dotty Redbird Likely to Rule Bowling Green Purse Favorite AUDUBON PARK, Henderson, Ky., June 5. The Bowling Green Purse, a six "and one-half furlongs dash for better grade claimers, occupies the featured sixth spot on Thursdays Ladies Day Program at this course. Mrs. C. D. Boyds Dotty Redbird appears to have a slight edge over the eight-horse field made up of such hardhitting contenders as Harry Hoffmans Jerry Kellee, F. Poncelets Cuanden, M. Loughlins Youngstown, J. K. Samuels Flying Fleet, H. R. Aigeldingers Conas Jacket, J. Williamsons Royal Fetzko and M. Scru-muzzas Sals Lady. Dotty Redbird, trained by the capable Paul Holthus, comes off an impressive second to Judge John in her most recent ef-.fort which was at the same distance as the Bowling Green. She set most of the pace while" hard pressed by Jerry Kellee, and after disposing of the latter, just failed to withstand Judge John, who scored by a head. The Holthus charge has reached the top of her form: and appears strictly the one to beat. Jerry Kellee succumbed to the Papa Red-bird mare after attempting to outrace her in the early part. The Hoffman candidate has not attained her brilliant form of last year when she scored nine victories out of 31 starts but this one moves up on heavy going and there is a strong possibility of such a track condition Thursday. Of the remainder, Conas Jacket, fresh from a three and a half lengths victory over similar contention at Fort Miami, and Cuanden, making his first outing over this course, appear the strongest possibilities.
