Ward Rides Two Winners On ThistleDown Program Case Law, Clotted Cream Pairing Worth 09.00 in Daily Double By PAT CAUDILL THISTLEDOWN, North Randall, Ohio, June 5. Jockey Paul. A. Ward rode his second winner of the afternoon today by easily accounting for the sixth race, the Town and Country Restaurant Purse, aboard Mrs. C. Sitgraves and Mrs. J. Smiths Aventine as the three - year - old took down his second purse in as many starts at this meeting. The five and one-half furlongs affair for racers entered for claiming prices of ,000 drew eight starters and Ward had the winner in front soon after the break. Enjoying a three lengths lead entering the stretch, the winner was never seriously threatened and won by two lengths over Helsing and Mrs. A, J. La-costes Tiger Bay who bested E. J. Cues Danger Cue by five lengths.
