Randalls Ohio Futurity Attracts 23 Nominations George M. Humphrey Names Trio For ,000 Added Event August 10 NORTH RANDALL, Ohio, June 5. Twenty-three Ohio-owned two-year-olds have been nominated for the ,000 added Ohio Futurity which will be decided at Randall Park on Saturday, August 10, it was announced today by racing secretary Lawrence C. Bogenschutz. Heading the list are three nominated by George M. Humphrey, retiring secretary of the treasury, three by Courtney Burton, mayor of Gates Mills, Ohio, and W. J. Sprow Jr.s highly regarded Depth Charge colt, Sandusky. Humphrey, who in past years entered his stock in the name of his daughter, Mrs. Royal Firman, has named Vicerrullah, Allspice and Rico Blue. Vicerullah is a daughter of the fashionable sire, Nasrullah. Allspice is a son of Pavot and Rico Blue a son of the imported Rico Monte. Representing Burton will be Romeer, a daughter of Roman, Djebet, a winner in Florida, and Gokey, a son of Goya. Also represented among the list of nominators for the fifth running of the stakes which was originated in 1953 to encourage the breeding and owning of thoroughbreds by residents of Ohio, is the Lancaster, Ohio sportsman I. J. Collins. The former chairman of the Ohio Racing Commission, whose Herbs Miss captured the 1956 renewal of the Ohio Futurity, has nominated Billys Best, a promising son of Crafty Admiral.
