Harold Hoffman Elected Head Of HBPAs Central Division WASHINGTON PARK, Homewood, 111., June 5. Harold Hoffman, Oak Park, 111., owner-trainer and former secretary-treasurer of the central division of the Horsemens Benelovenfc and Protective Association, was elected divisional president of that body in the balloting held both here and at Cahokia Downs yesterday. Hoffman won out over Emil Denemark, Chicago owner, by whom he was formerly employed as trainer. Elected as committeemen in the owners division were J. L. Norwine, Dave Feldman, D. Elmo Jordan and George Mavros, and in the owner-trainer group Larry Thompson, Joe Bilbrey, Del Carroll, Ed Wortman, S. Bryant Ott and Kenneth D. Kepler. Elected as alternate committeemen were Ed Hoban and Dave Paper. A secretary-treasurer will be appointed by the committee at an early date.
