t WASHINGTON PARK NOTES " 4 — 4 HOMEWOOD, 111., June 1. L. D. Oldham claimed Black Bart out of the seventh race at Washington Park Thursday at a cost of ,500. Jockey C. Grassia was suspended for fiv« days and fined 0 by the starter for disobedience at the post on Helen King in the second race Friday. Judge A. Murphy, presiding steward at Hawthorne, announced that he will be at his office, 31 East Congress St., every day until, the opening of the Hawthorne meeting. He has booked 1,200 horses for the Hawthorne racing. Jockey M. Byan was suspended for three days by the starter for disobedience at the post astride High Gravity in the second race. The officials at Washington Park were in receipt of a telegram from Earl Sande. from Belmont Park, stating that he would ship his entire stable of horses to Washington Park, arriving here about June 6. Hermitage, an eligible to the American Derby, will head the stable. He is also bringing along; the two-year-old El Ilelicario, recently claimed by J. Greenebaum, a hCieago turfman.
