ASSISTANT STARTER DEAD SAN DIEGO, Calif., June 1.— Thomas S. Higgins, 46 years old, died suddenly here yesterday. The deceased who was an assistant to starter Mars Cassidy on the New York circuit for ten years, came here several years ago. He is survived by the widow, Mrs. Margaret Hisgins, and a brother, Perry, who is in the East.
