JIM CROW, showing a liking for the going and away fast, moved into a good lead soon after the start and, holding on well, just lasted. NEVERMORE, much the best, was away slowly and, ridden wide for the entire way, closed an immense gap. IMPERATOR showed a good performance and was well up for most of the way. DOCTOR GLENN was taken all over the tratk and came strong in the stretch when hard urged. POCKET MOUSE began tiring in the last sixteenth. LADY EMBLEM showed a liking for the going and, under a hustling ride, moved into a long lead and won well in hand. GOTTA GONOW began slowly and had to race wide in the early stages, then came fast in the stretch. RUTH LONG raced prominently for most of the way and held on well in the stretch. PERJURY began fast, but was allowed to drop out of it and will improve under an energetic rider. THISTLE JEAN was allowed to drop far out of it and listlessly ridden after seemingly beaten. The latter was up well during the entire race, but lost ground by being foned to race wide and finished gamely. HYPOLUXO was well up throughout and outstayed GRKENOt K in the closing strides. GREENOCK showed good sp ed. but was in close quarters and timidly ridden. SHASTA LAD had no mishaps. JUDGE MURPHY swerved out in the streteh. BLUE BLOOD was away well up and seemed to have the race won a sixteenth out, but tired slightly. SERGEANT SETH, hard ridden and easing much ground in the stretch, just lasted for third place. HENRY SOMMERS showed good early speed and but for swerving out badly in the stretch might have won. PATSY H. ran well. COL. BOB had no mishaps. TOM McCUE closed a big gap.
