• I CHURCHILL DOWNS NOTES ! I 1 • LOUISVILLE, Ky., June 1. Jim Dandy, the two-year-old, which disappointed since his purchase by Chaffee Earl from W. S. Dudley, and which trainer John McKee left here in charge of Howard Stearns, has developed a slight temperature. Emil Denemark, of Chicago, and Rogers Caldwell, of Nashville, were visitors. Their colors were carried by Frances Milward and Lady Broadcast in the Kentucky Oaks renewal. Theisen and Thompsons Frances H. ha foaled a colt by San Vincente at A. Thomas Yowell Farm. Frances II. is a daughter of Atwell. Although quite a few prominent stables got away for Latonia during the present week, Sunday and Monday will witness the departure of the main body of horses going from here to the Covington track for the annual spring meeting of twenty-nine days opening next Tuesday. But for a scattering of smaller strings all of the larger stables here are destined for campaigning at Latonia. It is expected that over 400 racers will be transferred to that track during the coming forty-eight hours. From all reports here preparations for the meeting have been completed and only a few minor details await consideration of officials on Monday. Arrangements for the acceptance of stable registrations at the office of the racing secretary on Sunday have been made and Larry Boganschutz will be at the track to accept the stable lists and requests of horsemen for badges.
