» Q, Preparing for Francis S. Peabody Memorial, to Be Run Saturday • — g HOMEWOOD. 111., June 25.— Keen trials over Washington Park course are marking the preliminaries incident to the running next Saturday of the Francis S. Peabody Memorial Handicap, finale feature of the thirty-day meeting at that track. Harry Unna is giving Golden Prince. Cof-froth winner, special preparations for the mile and a quarter race. The son of Golden Guinea is being sent along with King Xadi. La Mar Stock Farms Misstep, regarded as a sure starter, probably will be coupled with Canaan. Misstep fancies Washington Park track. Despite his top impost, 126 pounds, he may be the ruling choice. While Windy City, the American Derby winner, is in with light poundage, 113 pounds, there is only a remote possibility that he will start. Mr. Grabner will, however, ce represented in the race by Chicago, which will be ridden by L. McDermott. Chicago will carry 10G pounds. Pink Lily, a chestnut daughter of Sea Sick — May Lily, belonging to Foxcatcher Farms, has been training for the race. Jefferson Livingstons Le Bey, keyed for the fray, will be sent after the prize. W. G. Yanke will try with Longridge and Wild Rose Farm will be represented by Dowagiac. Earl Sande Is striving to have either Xearby or Safety Pin in readiness. If he is successful he will have the mount, probably on Safety Pin. Those Chicago favorites. Sir Harry and Gaffsman, have been pointed by the Seagrams for the race. Both may go to the post. Mowlee will carry the silks of Bancocas Stable. This sturdy campaigner is fit and fresh. Blackwood, four-time winner for Mrs. E. Denemark, is almost certain to start. Black Toneys son never looked better than at this time, and may prove dangerous. The weight, 114, suits him.
