t NEW YORK TURF NOTES I § «g NEW YORK, N. Y.. June 25. Diavolo, winner of the Brookdale, will be included in the division that James Fitzsim-mons will take to Empire City. His next engagement will be at that point. W. Keatings Willie K. was badly cut about the legs in his last race and will be an absentee for some time. Nine horses will be shipped to Chicago by trainer Creech to augment the division racing at that point. The horses leave Friday and the list will be made up in a day or so. R. A. Smith returned from Chicago, where he saddled Altitude in the Illinois Oaks. Jockey Fields will stay over for a few days to ride another starter there and then the horses will be returned to New York. F. J. Kearns and jockey C. Kurtsinger returned from Blue Bonnets. Kearns headed :he list of trainers and Kurtsinger the riders. The horses were shipped to Empire City to await that meeting. Crack Brigade, the M. Cassidy good two-year-old, will be given a let up and freshened up for Saratoga racing. F. Cat rone came here from Chicago. He will return to the western division of the Rancocas Stable the latter part of this month. H. J. "Dick" Thompson, first string trainer for the E. R. Bradley stable, arrived from Kentiu ky. He is fully recovered from his recent operation for appendicitis. Ernie Heider is schooling two three-year olds through the field which have shown a liking for steepleehasing. They are .limmie Queen, by Jim Gaffney, and Fiery Jane, by Campfire. They are the property of David Dows, the polo player and amateur rider. Mrs. J. Chesney claimed Altimeter from Bud Fisher for ,000. and H. Haymaker claimed Iraq from D. Hum for a like amount. The Rosedale Stable will be shipped to Arlington Park Wednesday. Nat Clyman, fully recovered from a recent illness, made his first appearance of the season yesterday. Starter Mars Cassidy returned from Saratoga. He journeyed to the upstate track to make a preliminary survey regarding the installation of his new starting barrier. Frank Marlow, who was mysteriously killed Monday night, was a well known figure on New York tracks and was a visitor at Aqueduct Monday. At one time he was the owner of several horses, including Watch On and Anna Marrone. They were trained by Clarence Turner. Flitterman was claimed out of the last race Monday by Dave Hum for ,000. .
