w . REFUSES 5,000 OFFER COLLINSVILLE, 111.. June 25.— According to R. J. Gilmore, trainer of Rogers Caldwells good three-year-old filly Lady Broadcast, Mr. Caldwell declined an offer of 5,000 for the daughter of Messenger just prior o her start in the Illinois Oaks at Washington Park last Saturday. The offer was said to have been made by G. H. Church, the California racing enthusiast whose stable is in charge of George Mayberry in Chicago. Trainer Gilmore returned to Fairmount Park Monday and advised that Lady Broadcast was left at Chicago to fulfill her stake engagements at Arlington Park.
