ROCHESTER, away well and given a hustling ride, followed TABBY CAT closely nntil straightened out in the stretch, where he came away to win with much in reserve. CALCITE had to race wide at the first turn, but came steadily in the stretch and finished well. PORT GAR shewed a good performance. ALTAVAR began slowly, but finished well, though swerving. TABBT CAT moved into the lead with a rush and showed good speed for a half mile, but quit badly when hard urged. LILLIAN TOBIN began well, but was taken back sharply at the first turn when she met some interference. GUY FRAZIER raced prominently most of the way. BIG GUN began slowly, saved much ground in the stretch and finished with a rush. RED FACE had no mishaps. FANCY STAR was going well at the end. MATTHEWS raced with the leaders in tbe early stages bnt lost ground by going wide. HOUSEBOY came from far back. JIM McMAHON ran well. BLACK SPOT had no mishaps. PARTICIPATE was raced wide hroughout. LAI I.Y moved up fast after going half a mile, but tired in the last sixteenth. MACHETE showed a good effort. JEAN NAVELLE raced fairly well MEKAtIIEE and QOLD PJDGP tired after half a mile.
