LEADING AMERICAN JOCKEYS L. Jones is steadily whittling down the gap that separates him from the leading jockey. A. Robertson, and by piloting four ■winners last week increased his total to the point where he is now but eight winners in the rear. Robertson, being idle, his total remained stationary at ninety-three, while Jones now has eighty-five. The weeks honors fell to R. O Brien, riding at Riverside, he having been successful with nine of his mounts during the past six days of racing. M. Knight and J. Shelton had six each. E. Shropshire piloted five winners.
