QUESTIONNAIRE DOES BEST THURSDAY TRIAL NEW YORK N Y June 5 Candidates for the Belmont Stakes were not asked for much this morning though they were all out on the track Gallant Fox was galloped a slow mile and a half with Sande up and Whichone was cantered slowly once around the big Belmont Park oval Questionnaire the James Butler candidate was the only one that did anything approaching a work when he went along for an easy mile and a furlong in 2 04 He was fighting for his head all the way and appears thoroughly fit for the race Friday morning probably each of the aspir ¬ ants for the championship will be sent along for a short fast breeze to put the final edge on speed
