SIX FOR BELMONT STAKES NEW YORK, N. Y., June 9.— The outlook at this time is that a field of half a dozen will face the barrier for the mile and a half of the 5,000 Belmont Stakes, which will be decided Saturday. In addition to Mrs. Payne Whitneys Twenty Grand and Jamestown, the leading contenders for the three-year-old championship, which the running of the Belmont will decide, are K. E. Hitts Sun Meadow, Walter Salmons Mad Career, Anchors Aweigh, stablemate of Twenty Grand, The Glen Riddle Farms Great Gun, W. R. Coes Polydorus and Morton Schwartz Clock Tower, all being pointed for the rich prize.
