MISHAP RESULTS FATALLY r John Fisher, Exercise Boy, Killed at t Washington Park in Fall From Little Toney. HOMEWOOD, 111., June 9.— John Fisher, an exercise boy in the employ of B. J. Dur-nell, - was fatally injured in a fall from the i two-year-old Little Torey at Washington i Park this morning. The horse broke off f with Fisher while being walked from the | track to the Durnell stable and, bolting through the gate at the half-mile ground, catapulted Fisher from the saddle. Fishers 3 head struck a metal fence upright and his 3 neck was broken by the compace. He was 3 rushed to the St. James Hospital, Chicago Heights, and was dead upon arrival there, it was reported. Fisher had worked in the employ of racing ? stables for several years and last winter f rode his first and only race at Agua Caiiente. He was a native of Summit, 111., where i his parents now reside. He was taken under r engagement by B. J. Durnell last fall and 1 previously had worked for the Knebelkamp j and Morris and other stables. He was sixteen x . years old. O. H. Berz, Chicago mortician and owner of Little Toney, was to take charge of the remains following the coroners inquest.
