SPANISH PLAYS WORKOUT HOMEWOOD, 111.. June 9.— Spanish Play, Knebelkamp and Morris American Derby candidate, was on the slow track after the running of the fourth race, and trainer George Land sent the son of Spanish Prince II. a mile in the good time of 1:45. He breezed throughout, and C. E. Allen rated him over the half mile in :50 and the three-quarters in 1:16%.
