RAVENNA OPENS JUNE 29 CLEVELAND, Ohio, June 24. — General manager H. D. Shepard of Ravenna and Beulah Park, was a visitor at Bainbridge Park yesterday and announced that the Ravenna meeting would get under way on June 29, and continue for thirteen days or more. Racing secretary B. Held accompanied Mr. Shepard and distributed condition books and stall applications to the horsemen. More than 400 stalls have already been alloted to various trainers, despite the fact that many will van their charges from both Thistle Down and Bainbridge. There will be seven races daily, with purses ranging from 00 to 00, with handicaps Wednesdays and Saturdays. Starter W. M. Harris of Latonia, Ky., will replace starter G. W. Wingfield during the Ravenna meeting, Wingfield going to Salem, Mass.
