SATIN SPAR, taken to the front, made a fast pace under slight restraint for three quarters, weakened thereafter, but lasted for a lucky win. TANNERY, probably much the best and a victim of a miserably judged ride, was under strong restraint for three-quarters, then responded strongly and but for his riders blundering judgment in persisting in attempts to drive him through on the inside of the winner in the final eighth, might have been an easy winner.
