SARATOGA SALES SCHEDULE LEXINGTON, Ky., May 25.— E. J. Tranter, president of the Fasig-Tipton Co., has informed breeders of thoroughbred horses in Kentucky that the sales of yearlings in his paddocks, Saratoga, this year will begin Friday, August 5, and close Thursday, August 25. There will be fifteen nights during that period on which sales will be held; the schedule is now being arranged. The number to be sold will be approximately 500. Major Thomas J. Johnson, officer in charge of the Lexington headquarters of the U. S. Army Remount purchasing and breeding department, today announced the purchase of four stallions: Bad Guess, from W. Duncan Hamilton, Versailles, Ky.; Sunny Basil, from W. F. Poison, Louisville; Recollection, from Walter I. Kohn, Louisville; Snow King, from A. B. Hancock, Paris, Ky.
