R. Bradley, bagging his third Ken- j tucky Derby this year with Burgoo King, £ put the other owners in almost total eclipse so far as earnings during the Churchill t Downs meeting were concerned. The Derby £ was worth 2,350 and Bradley went over J the 3,000 mark through one victory scored , by his three-year-old filly, Boiling Water, now racing in the East. The Dixiana Stable finished second in the J owners list as a result of the success of In ] High in the Bashford Manor Stakes. Other 1 winners for this stable, for which Clyde Van Dusen trains, were Spartan Lady and Flash- . ing Thru. The Dixiana total was ,585. | J. H. Louchheim, owner of Economic, sec- ond in the Derby, and Mrs. J. H. Whitney, . owner of the third horse Stepenfetchit, finished the meeting with practically the same , figures. ,100 and ,000. The other stake winners were W. S. Kilmers Suntica, in the Kentucky Oaks, worth ,590. and the Shady Brook Farm Stables • Pittsburgher in the Clark Handicap, which I had a winners value of ,310. Still other winners of more than ,000 I were E. Haughton and the Three Ds Stock 1 Farm. Among Haughtons winners were Brass Monkey, Comstockery and Prose and I Poetry. The three-year-old Trinchera and the two-year-olds Two Slipper and Good Scout took down purses for the Three Ds. I H. P. Headley was not far behind with his two-time winner, Indian Runner, and Prefer and Liqueur. Wood River won three of the five races credited to O. Viau. Otherwise, a two-year-old in the stable of W. E. Smith was another three-time winner. C. V. Whitneys western division met with little success in capturing first place, but registered thirteen seconds and five thirds. Smear and Blot were the only winners in this stable. F. P. Letellier was tied with Haughton in the number of winners sent to the post by trainers. G. Elston was the leading jockey, with twenty-one winning mounts. C. E. Allen had eleven and M. Rose ten. Horsemen profited to the extent of 13,-310 during the twenty-day meeting.
