| : 1 ! J ; WOODBINE PARK NOTES t s __ — i Johnny Daniels shipped the Southland Stable horses of Charles Bacharach to Latonia Monday morning. E. H. Von Roenn will remain at the Downs with his seven horses, but may decide to send a couple of them to Washington Park the first of next week. Jockey L. Geving, who suffered a broken bone in his hand during the Lexington meeting, plans on leaving for Chicago this week and will resume riding in the near future. Anthony Pelleteri motored from Chicago Saturday and returned Sunday with A. B. Letellier. Pelleteris horses are quartered at Washington Park. Mr. T. W. Durant walked over the steeplechase course at Woodbine Park today and was so impressed that he promised racing secretary Frank J. Bryan that he would send all his best jumpers up here for the fall meeting. Mr. Durant has two courses of his own, the Westbury course, on Long Island, and a course at Monkton, Md. Charles Douglas, who trains the jumpers in Mr. Durants stable, has had considerable suc- cess with his charges. William Northey, original secretary at Blue Bonnets and now connected with the Forum, was forced to cut short his visit here and return to Montreal due to pressure of business.
