j I WASHINGTON PARK NOTES ! ♦ ♦ Plucky Play, Wotan and Sidney Grant, all pointing for the 0,000 Francis S. Peabody Memorial Handicap, to be renewed at a mile and one-quarter at Washington Park June 25, came through impressively in trials Saturday morning. At Washington Park Plucky Play went a mile in 1:41% handily, and Wotan a like distance in 1:42% handily. At Lincoln Fields Sidney Grant, winner of the Sweitzer Handicap at Washington Park earlier in the meeting, rattled off a mile and one-eighth in 1:54% handily. B. J. Durnell was an arrival from Kansas City, to which place he returns following a short visit. He has several horses at Riverside Park. Charles McLennan distributed copies of the program book for the first ten days of the Arlington Park meeting at Washington Park Saturday. The minimum purse for the period of the meeting covered by this book will be ,200, a reduction of 00 from the minimum purse of the previous season. All programs will comprise seven races and a stake of at least ,500 added value will be run daily. North Galis, the Northway Stables colt, which is being pointed for Arlington Park engagements, worked three-quarters with Chatter Queen in 1:15 handily at Washington Park Saturday.
