PREDICT raced forwardly and held on fairly well. SARAZEN II. came from the rear to finish fast. FRENCH HONEY could not reach contention. RUSTY was in close quarters early. HOT SHOT attempted to bear in during the earlv racing and, after interfering with KINGSPORT, tired badly in the last eighth. BRONX PARK dashed into contention on the outside soon after the start and, after following LOVELY HILLS closely until well into the stretch, took command and held a short lead to the end. LOVELY HILLS showed good early speed and held on gamely. HERNANDO was unable to keep up with the leaders in the early stages, but showed a good performance. STRIDEAWAY was also going well at the end. RED ROAMER and COPLEY SQUARE were badly outrun. CHICSU, blocked in the early running and shuffled back again, came through on the outside in the stretch and, overtaking ERVAST near the end, won going away. ERVAST, well rated early, opened up a good lead entering the stretch, but could not last. GOOD AND HOT, close to the pace on the outside all the way, could not get up. EVELINE F., guided to the inside on the first turn and in close quarters repeatedly thereafter, was taken to the outside in the stretch and closed with a belated rush RUANE dropped back early and closed a big gap, then tired. DEEMSTER quit badly. JIM ORMONT and LUCKY CARTER also tired. HOVYTIZ began slowly.
