| LEXINGTON TURF NOTES | • • R. E. Wilson, local shipping agent, left here last Monday morning for Belmont Park with a load of thoroughbreds. For A. M. j Thomas, Ipswich, Mass., he took the Pennant mare, Bandera, and her filly foal, by I Chatterton, from Leslie Combs Belair Farm. For Major Thomas H. McCreery he took six yearlings, five from Tollie Youngs Creek-view Farm, and two from John W. Marrs Clarkland Farm; for Henry McDaniel, he took two two-year-olds from J. E. Wideners Elmendorf Farm. Major Thomas J. Johnson, officer in charge of the United States Army Remount Purchasing and Breeding headquarters here, announced today that he has purchased the stallion Bachelor Bird from Charles Bach-arach, of New Orleans, and Donnay, from William Lee Nutter, Georgetown, Ky. «
