OFFICIALS AT MARLBORO BALTIMORE, Md., Aug. 25. George Brown, Jr., of this city, and William G. Brooks, of Upper Marlboro, have been appointed stewards for the Southern Maryland Agricultural Fair Associations fall meeting, which opens August 30 at Marlboro. They will meet shortly and select a third steward. Other officials are: Judges, J. H. Anderson, John P. Turner and George Thaddeus Miller; r-starter, Edward S. Welter; assistant starters, Bob Freund, Bill Schammerhorn and Jay Ally; racing secretary, John P. Turner; paddock and patrol judge, P. T. Roche; general manager, Joseph B. Boyle; treasurer and assistant general manager, Thomas Kirby Lynch; veterinarian, Dr. Henry J. McCarthy; pari-mutuel manager, Mortimer M. Mahony; custodian of jockeys room, Jesse Bennett, and outrider, Roy C. Gordon. Secretary Turner has arranged an excellent book for the meeting. He will have plenty of good horses.
