ST. BRIDEAUX IN DANDELION Meets Blenheim and Blind Bowboy at Saratoga Today Four Go in the Mohawk Stakes. SARATOGA SPRINGS, N. T., Aug. 25. For a special feature, the offering of the Saratoga Association for the Friday sport is the Mohawk Claiming- Stakes, a prize over the mile distance. The fact that it is for platers naturally detracts from its interest and there are only four named to start. It is exclusively for the three-year-olds and W. R. Coes Masked Knight is at the top with a burden of 117 pounds. J. H. Louchheims Uncanny is required to take up 108 pounds, C. V. Whitneys Clotho 103 and C. Harvey Pierces Marciana is also in under 103 pounds. It is probable a. good race may result under these arrangements of the weights. A race that is really of more promise is the Dandelion Handicap. This is" an overnight event, but the acceptances are decidedly promising. St. Brideaux, -which has been training exceedingly -well, is at the top with 122 pounds as his impost. Blenheim is asked to shoulder 118 and Blind Bowboy is in under 116 pounds. With these three alone an excellent race should result and there are also Luggage at 104 pounds and Rip "Van Winkle with, the feather of 93 pounds as his . assignment.
