JOCKEY A. RICHARD ILL CICERO, 111., Aug. 25. Jockey A. Richard, who was stricken suddenly after riding Monks Star in the fourth race Wednesday, was taken to the hospital and operated on for appendicitis. Reports Thursday morning reveal Richard survived the operation successfully and is doing as well as could be expected.
