. PHOENIX MEETING IN FALL SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., Aug. 25. WiL liam P. Kyne, local sportsman and turf promoter, will take another whirl at Phoenix,! Ariz., this fall. He announced here today that he would conduct a six-day session there, under the donation system, in conjunction with the annual state fair, October 24 to 30. Kyne attempted to revive interest In racing under organized conditions at Phoenix last fall and received considerable encouragement, but an untimely rainstorm practically washed out the meeting. He is confident the Southwest is ripe for racing,; however, and intends to give it a thorough trial. About 400 horses will ship to Phoenix from Kansas City en route to the coast for winter racing, Kyne said. The Riverside Park meeting in Kansas City commences September 3, to run for nineteen or more days, and Kynes official staff is preparing to migrate to the Missouri metropolis now,
