1 SARATOGA TURF NOTES 1 b Terry Farley, custodian of the jockeys room, stated that he has 1,200 sets of colors in his care, many of which are duplicates and triplicates of prominent stables. He has at least a dozen sets of colors that have never been shown. Mrs. R. L. Gerry came oyer from Delhi for the days racing, her first appearance this season. Frank J. Murphy, chairman of the New York State Racing Commission, was an arrival. The Greentree Stables St. Brideaux will make his first appearance under colors this year in an overnight handicap. John I. Day received , a supply of stable, application blanks for the forthcoming vinter meeting at Arcadia, California. He distributed them among horsemen. Trainer James Fitzsimmons is undecided about Happy Gals next engagement. She is an eligible for the rich Hopeful Stakes to be decided here and she may be reserved for that event. The final boxing championship tournament for the employes of the different stables in this section will be held tonight at the race track community center. Ernie Hall reports that W. G. Merion is shipping the two-year-olds Royal See, Strong and Ginger Hackle to Syracuse for that meeting. Max Jacobs, a well known Baltimore sportsman, was among Thursdays arrivals. Dr. Ci R. Richards ordered the destruction of the hunter Marbro. The horse tore all the ligaments loose in his leg.
